Kendra Womack has been practicing yoga for 12 years. Many things in her life led to the practice of yoga from body image and eating disorder issues to searching for a new way to live her life. Ali Sternke puts her 30-plus years as a physical therapist to good use in her yoga classes. She has studied with many teachers from many styles and incorporates postural integration, yoga wisdom, breath work, and restorative yoga positions in her classes. The fine art of relaxation is emphasized. Her classes are a blend of body alignment emphasizing posture and strength, breath awareness to introduce energy flows in the body, and relaxation postures to tone down tension and anxiety. Brittany McConnell is an Anusara-Inspired™ Yoga Instructor and Yoga Alliance Registered Teacher (200 hour level). She has been practicing yoga for over 11 years with more than 300 hours of training with Certified Anusara Instructors. A dedicated student of Karen Sprute-Frankovich and John Friend, she began teaching yoga in 2007 and is currently working toward full certification in the Anusara method of yoga. This fall, 2011, I will offer a beginning class on Monday evenings from 8 to 9 pm. The class will run from October 3rd to March 26th and costs $175 payable in advance. New students will not be accepted after the first month. The Intermediate/Advanced class is on Monday evenings from 7 to 8 pm and is $30 per month year round. Prerequisite is completion of the beginning class or 2+ years experience with another form and a willingness to learn ours. Read more…

Born and raised in Northern California, I moved to Idaho the summer of 2007. I began my study and practice of yoga 2 years ago. I have always had a strong intuitive love and curiosity for it over the years, but it was in 2009 that it really became a source of healing for me. Reggie Townley teaches Vinyasa Krama in the Krishnamacharya-Desikachar lineage. His yoga heavily influenced by the work of Erich Shiffmann, through Reggie’s main teacher, Debbi Murphy. Tim is a Yoga Alliance certified teacher. He took his first yoga class in the early nineties and for the last nine years has been studying Anusara Yoga. Working in the Anusara tradition, his class is alignment based. In his classes, Tim uses vinyasa to get the flow going, but also takes time for the nuts and bolts, always starting with the foundation of the pose and working from there towards deeper opening.
